How can we help you?
Residential Electrical Solutions Across Croydon
Croydon has its own character, with established detached homes and semis alongside units and updated properties. Many have been extended or renovated over time, which can leave older circuits working beside newer electrical additions. That means we may be tracing existing wiring, allowing for modern loads or planning upgrades that respect the home.
When you call our Inner West electrician, you’re talking with experienced, licensed Croydon electricians who explain what they find and treat your property with care. Your electrical safety and satisfaction stay at the centre of the job from start to finish.
Our Services

Home Appliance Installation
Need an oven, cooktop, rangehood or another fixed appliance connected? We check the supply, complete the electrical connection and confirm the circuit is suitable before the appliance goes into regular use.

Lighting Installation
From downlights and pendants to outdoor and security lighting, we fit new lights where they work best for the space. We also replace tired fittings, create additional light points and track down faults when existing lights are playing up.

Power points
Need another socket beside the bed, kitchen bench or home office? We add power points, replace worn outlets and check that the existing circuit can handle normal household use safely.

Switchboards
If the board still relies on ceramic fuses or no longer suits the way your household uses electricity, we can bring it up to a safer, more practical setup. That can include safety switches, circuit breakers, extra circuits or additional capacity for newer appliances and air conditioning.

Smoke Alarm
We fit, replace and test smoke alarms so you know they are operating properly. For hardwired models, we can also check the mains connection and backup battery where required.

Ring Cameras & CCTV
We set up Ring cameras and wired CCTV around entrances, driveways and other useful areas of the property. Our electricians handle the power and cabling and help position cameras for practical, clear coverage.
How We Work in Croydon
When you ring us or leave your details online, we’ll call and have a proper chat about the job first. Sometimes we can point you in the right direction straight away; for other work, an on-site inspection lets us check the wiring, access and existing setup before recommending the next step.
We do our best to fit in urgent work on the day, particularly when you contact us earlier, while standard Croydon bookings can often be organised for the following day. Emergency assistance is available too, and when you call we’ll give you practical safety guidance and a realistic idea of when we can get to you.
You won’t be left guessing about the price before work starts. We explain the cost first, cover our workmanship for 12 months, and provide at least a one-year warranty on products we supply, with selected items protected for up to seven years. Where compliance paperwork is required, we’ll provide it, and you can still reach us after completion if you need anything clarified.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do your electricians install EV chargers?
Yes. Before fitting the charger, we can check the switchboard, available capacity and circuit requirements so the installation suits both the vehicle and the home.
Can you work on strata properties in Croydon?
Yes. We handle residential strata work and can coordinate with the strata manager when access, approvals or shared electrical areas are involved. We can also suggest practical ways to improve energy use around the property.
How quickly can you help in an electrical emergency?
Call as soon as you notice sparking, burning smells, repeated tripping or a sudden loss of power. You’ll speak with our owner and chief electrician, who can give safety steps over the phone while we arrange the safest response.
Croydon: A Village Between Two Highways
Named after a racecourse connection
Croydon was named in 1878 after the English town of the same name, chosen partly because of its link to a racecourse near Homebush, much like the original Croydon near a racecourse in England. Nobody recorded exactly who picked the name, but the railway suburb link made it a natural fit.
Bushranger territory in the 1820s
Long before it was a leafy commuter suburb, the area was a haunt for bushrangers, with Parramatta Road and Liverpool Road offering regular opportunities for holdups. Its bushland was gradually cleared for orchards and grazing land during this period.
Built by the railway
The Sydney-Parramatta railway line, laid through the area in 1855, sparked a housing boom and the eventual formation of the village that became Croydon. A settlement grew up around Croydon railway station, mainly to the north, centred on Edwin Street and Elizabeth Street.
Heritage streets and Federation charm
Croydon today is known for its tree-lined streets and heritage-listed homes, sitting neatly between the commercial hubs of Ashfield and Burwood. Its character has earned it a reputation as one of the Inner West's more genteel, old-world pockets.
A split identity
Unusually for a single suburb, Croydon is divided between two local government areas: the Municipality of Burwood and the Inner West Council. This administrative quirk reflects its position right on the boundary of Sydney's inner western districts.
